The SkillsUSA T-Shirt Design Contest
A T-shirt designed by a student at Nashoba Tech will be worn by all students participating in the upcoming SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference. The theme of the contest was "Champions at Work." Tessera's design is black-and-white and was created using Photoshop. "I felt really confident when I entered but I wasn't counting on winning or anything," Tessera said. "But I'm super-excited." For designing the winning T-shirt, Tessera will get to attend the SkillsUSA state conference on April 30-May 2 free. She will also be recognized at the opening ceremony and will receive a plaque bearing her winning design. SkillsUSA Massachusetts, in partnership with business and industry, provides opportunities for members to develop individually and improve teamwork, leadership and professional skills through education, training, service, and competition. Students compete in their chosen field of study against other students from across the state. Gold-medal winners at the state conference qualify for the Nationals, to be held over the summer in Kansas City, Mo. |
